A Glimpse of Life in the Campo

MONTI CAT.  I'm not too sure that I'm not one of the few ACU grads that has had the honor to have their personal "Wildcat".  In January, we had a bad storm in the campo. Something very similar to a tornado.  Next day a couple of lady guests went for a walk close to my house and came across a tiny "gato montes". Crying. Desparate for food. The rest is history..... We enjoyed Monti for almost 6 months. He was the center of our lives and activities. So sweet. So smart. More like a dog than a cat.  A blessing to get so close to something wild. He had us wrapped around his "paws".  He was killed in an accident with one of the dogs in July. Here are a FEW of our pictures of Monti. Enjoy.
